Worktunes Wireless Hearing Protection for Mowing and WorkingThe latest in the enormously popular Worktunes™ line, these wireless earmuffs offer the smartest features bundled with the most intuitive controls. Audio Assist Technology lets you handle setup without ever taking your hearing protector off, while simple function buttons and a Rotary Tuning Dial let you control your Bluetooth® device directly from the headset. If you prefer to listen to the radio, the built-in AM/FM digital radio offers enhanced performance and clearer sound than previous Worktunes™ models. Another new feature is the Safety Volume Control Technology, which lets you enjoy your music at a louder volume, keeping your ears safe while giving you access to more sound without exceeding your NIOSH-recommended noise dosage. Worktunes™ Wireless Hearing Protectors are built for comfort and versatility. A vented headband design allows heat to escape, while removable padding gives you control over how you wear the headset. Want to wear a hat? No problem. Hot weather? Worktunes™ has your back. Requires two AA batteries. Battery life: about 40 hours with continuous Bluetooth use, or up to 80 hours with only AM/FM radio use. Includes a battery-saving 2-hour auto shut-off feature and a low battery indicator.

A Word About BlueTooth®: The BlueTooth® in these earmuffs lets you link up with your smart phone to play music, and when you get a text, notification, or incoming call, the headset will turn down the music so you can hear the alert or call. However, WorkTunes Wireless does not have a microphone, so you will actually need to take the headset off to take a phone call.

A Note About Volume-Limiting and Aux-In: When a sound source is connected via the input jack, volume may not be limited. Automatic volume limiting applies only to the built-in AM/FM radio feature.

I bought this product to replace an older am/fm hearing...

I bought this product to replace an older am/fm hearing protector headphones. Happy to report that the aux Jack worked fine. The Bluetooth was easy to pair up and has a decent range of 20 ft or so. Would be better to be able to leave my phone stationary and have a larger walk window when running a chainsaw or weed whacker, but maybe that will be a future improvement. The fm has decent reception, but not as good as my previous and lower costing set. The headphone protection was comfy and snug, like it should be. I don't like that every time you change a channel there is a music pause and then some electronic voice stating the fm station. The volume level for music could be higher than it is, as I listen to metal and hard rock, but it is sufficient. Bass response is also decent.
