3M 8210V Particulate Respirator Details
The 3M 8210V offers all the same features as the 3M 8210, but with the addition of 3M's Cool Flow™ Valve. This valved respirator is cooler than unvalved respirators, because it makes breathing easier for the wearer while venting heat away from the face.
The 3M 8210V is NIOSH-approved to provide 95% filtration efficiency against both solid and liquid non-oil based particulate. Like the 8210, this disposable respirator features 3M's advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media, which helps the wearer breathe more easily and stay cooler while working. Combined with the Cool Flow™ Valve, it is harder to find a better-breathing disposable respirator mask than the 8210V. These respirators are more comfortable and much more lightweight than rubber respirators with comparable performance. This helps increase worker wear time. A metal noseclip provides a customizable fit and a great seal, preventing protective eyewear from fogging.
The 3M 8210V is recommended for bagging, sweeping, sanding, grinding, and many other dusty operations. This model is especially good for hot environments. Note: not for use with oil-based particulate.

About Efficiency
Filter efficiency shows how much filter leakage can be accepted. Higher efficiency means less leakage.
95%, 99%, and 99.97% are the most common filter efficiency ratings.
Used in particulate environments free of oil aerosols. N-series filters cannot be used if oil particles are present.
Used for oil and non-oil particles with time use limitations specified by NIOSH. If oil particles (e.g., lubricants, cutting fluids, glycerine) are present, use an R- or P-series filter.
Used for oil and non-oil particples with time use limitations specified by manufacturer. If oil particles are present and the filter is to be used for more than one work shift, use only a P-series filter.
