Tinnitus Relief, at Last
June 21, 2024
This masker works very well, generating a white noise, a whooshing air sound, that you can use to habituate your brain to ignore your tinnitus. The cost is reasonable. The downside is that the device is not made to last more than a year or so if worn continually, 24/7. I recommend buying two per ear, so you have a backup when the first one fails. I always have a spare on hand because I cannot function at all or sleep without a masker.

This product does exactly what it is intended to do.
Very easy to use, and the adjustable volume is great. I would recommend for anyone suffering with tinnitus. Pros

Earpiece

I'v been using this erapiece for many years. I had a problem with sleeping in the past, I won't get into the story, I had to use a fan to drowned out noise when I was sleeping. Years later I found the Ear Plug store and been using the NewSound earpiece ever since. My wife hated the fan because she likes silence, now she"s happy.

I want to love these things. What I like: 1) they fit easily and well in my ears 2) the white noise is good for masking ambient noise that prevents me from falling or staying asleep. However, the design needs some work. The volume control buttons are really hard to grasp and turn (and I don't even have mobility issues as some users might). When you do turn the volume control it seems to go from nothing to too much and it is very hard to get it to the right level that might work for you. The battery compartment either pops open when you don't want it to or refuses to budge when you do want it to open. I don't like that the only way to turn them off is to pop the battery out. Why not have a little switch? Or it would be great, IMHO, if these were designed to be used with an app on your phone that would let you turn them on and off and configure the settings that you want. It would also be great if the "LT" model had both a choice of white noise varieties and volume control that was user friendly. Alas, this is not the case and I end up getting very frustrated when trying to use these. I wanted to love them but I am disappointed at the quality for the price.

It's hard to get loudness I want because it isn't smooth when going from low to high. The two things I do like is the loudness and the foam tips.

Hard to get in my ear and about impossible to adjust the volume once it's in.

I have horribly loud tinnitus, worst in my left ear and this little thing is a godsend. There is nothing else like it on the market. I love going to sleep and waking up to that little hissing sound instead of what sounds like a fire alarm.

I have annoying tinnitus in one ear without hearing loss. The TI-100-LT does a great job as a masker using white noise. The continuously variable volume and variety of earpieces allows the perfect setting so I can mask the tinnitus and still hear with both ears. Very reasonably priced as well!
