these work great for any rimfire shooting and for limited centerfire pistol shooting, but for extended range sessions, or centerfire rifles, a little more protection is really required.

I originally purchased these earplugs for my job. I am a welder where I do a lot welding and grinding. I all so work with a lot of cast iron. They still let too much noise in and at the end of the day I still have a headache and the ringing in the ears.

I originally purchased these earplugs for shooting but found that they still let too much noise in. When I tried them at concerts and clubs I found them to be great. You are still able to hear the music, but these cancel out the harmful low bass and high pitched frequencies that can harm your hearing. They are also great for clubs because you can still hear the person next to you talking. An added bonus is that they are clear and small so no one even notices that you are wearing earplugs.

I work in an environment with lots of traffic noises and vibration and high-pitched beeping sounds, plus I travel back and forth to work on the New York City subway! That's plenty of noise! These Hock's noise breakers earplugs are the best I've ever tried! They make a great seal and are very comfortable– I sometimes forget that I am wearing them.

These are great plugs, highly effective and almost invisible. I'm a life-long rock musician and engineer, and because of plugs like these, I still have perfect hearing while many of my peers have tinnitus.
