3M 1110 UF foam ear plugs (corded version of the 3M1100 ear plugs) are the stiffest of the poly-urethane foam ear plugs. For those who like the feel of UF, but want the stiffness of PVC, the 3M 1100 is a good choice. PVC foam is a little easier to insert than UF foam, because it rolls down easier and keeps its shape better during insertion. The 3M 1000 provides those advantages - but it is also softer and smoother than PVC ear plugs generally are. For a hearing protector that inserts easily, feels smooth and comfortable, and has a cord for convenience, it is hard to beat 3M 1100 hearing protection earplugs.
