A Note About Wax Plugs

While wax plugs are excellent for study/concentration and for sleeping, we no longer recommend wax plugs such as Ear Stopples and World's Finest to be worn in a hot tub, sauna or at the beach in summer. Wax ear plugs are simply a bad idea for water applications: quite sensitive to excessive heat, wax plugs are prone to melting. They should never be left in a car during the summer or worn in a sauna.

Overall, we have found wax plugs to be a poor alternative for trips to the beach, lake, or poolside during warm weather.

Soft Moldable Silicone Plugs and Pre-Molded Rubber Plugs, however, are both excellent for aquatic activities, even in hot weather.
